Aikaryu

Tuesday, 18 December 2007

Im writing about one of my favourite japanese bands this week its quite hard to write cause i dont know alot about them because they are not that well known but i will write what i can. the members of the band are Kaworu(Vocals) Shagrath(guitar) Teru(Lead Guitar) Daiki(Bass) and Uli(Drums). they formed in 2002 theyre first single as far as im aware was kyukese which has a very unusual video it sees them all dressed as sort of castlevania(game) like clothes i.e vampires headless ghouls etc. the band have a mini album and a full album titled the best album the band is now split, only because a terrible car accident that happened in 2005 all members are alive but some have lingering injuries the bands injuries are as follows daiki - a few bruises injured lungs required surgery. Teru - several injuries healed with time. Uli - two fractured legs required half a year rehabilitation. Shagrath - skull injuries required surgery worst injuries of all members and finally kaworu who didnt require hospitilisation(bad spelling) he only had superficial injuries. but recently the band reformed for one last concert there last show which was released on dvd, i have it and it is a really really great show i would reccomend watching it also teru the guitarist has been in 2 new bands recently one is called hizaki grace project which means 2 the best japanese guitarists in my oppinion hizaki and teru are in the same band and theres also versailles which is really a supergroup it alsos has hizaki and teru on guitar aswell as the other band lareines vocallist .so thats all i have on aikaryu but here are 2 videos of theres for you 2 watch there videos are very fun and unique. You can download there mini album and my fave single from the downloads section. And check out there myspace here

Escape The Fate

Tuesday, 11 December 2007

This band i've known about for quite a while. but i realised not many other people might have so i will write about them, they are from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and they are called Escape The Fate. They are a Post-Hardcore band according to wikipedia but i would say they are a sleaze band or glam metal either way its good stuff, they currently have an album and an ep out the album Dying is your latest fashion was released on september 26th 2006 on epitaph records, i have the album myself and for a long time it was all i was listening to i can honestly say there isnt a bad song on the album, i havent heard the first ep yet though that is called theres no sympathy for the dead although im sure it would be good. the bands current line up is Ronnie Radke(Vocals) who also for a short time in 2006 left the band just before the album was released but later rejoined, Bryan "Monte" Money(Guitar, Backing Vocals), Max Green(Bass, Backing Vocals) and Robert Ortiz(Drums) currently the band are in the process of making there second full length album and is expected to be out next year and the first song i heard of theres was "not good enough for the truth in cliche" its so catchy and i played it that much my friends where sick of hearing it. Check it on there myspace here. You can get dying is your latset fashion from downloads section. i will post the video so u can judge for youself heres a couple of videos for you to enjoy.

DIR EN GREY are a visual kei band from osaka, japan, visual kei is a style not really a music genre just watch one of there videos and you will see what i mean, some of there videos are known to be quite disturbing. the band started in 1997 with four members of a previous band called la:sadies the four original members are Kyo, Kaoru, Die and Shinya they then recruited new bassist toshiya. the band have quite a few EP's and albums they have 6 albums and 2 eps, recently they have started to tour in the UK with great success after 2 back to back sell out shows in London. personally my favourite album is Vulgar it has the song obscure on it which i highly reccommend a few other good songs are Saku, The Final and GRIEF. i've posted 2 albums in the downloads section those are Withering to Death and Marrow of a bone i have them all thoughmight upload more later. i will post a few videos up of there songs so u can judge for yourself.
